I agree with Manos. Wonderful image, super sharp. Only negative would be the blue line of water running across the bird. Other than that an excellent picture. Congrats.

Sweet image with soft light and nice exposure. I like the small drip at the tip of the beak. Good going!

I like the light, pose, angle and eye contact. The drop on the bill adds to it. I think it needs a bit CW rotation and I might crop a tad off the bottom and wish the foot were not partially obstructed by the OOF rock in the foreground.

I love the light here. Axel makes some good points in his comment.

Noticed that too Amy. Appeals to me too. Think this is quite wonderful.

    Hi Gal:

You have captured some outstanding light and colors here. Agree with Axel that it needs some CW rotation. If you look at your horizon, you can see it slants a bit to the left. I also agree with Axel that a cropping some of the OOF off the bottom would make this capture even more powerful. One more thing I would do is to clone out or quick mask the rock just in front of the lifted foot.

With a few tweaks, you have a winner here!

Love the graceful lines of the bird and the "golden hour" light that brings out the colors. In addition to removing the bright bar across the background,
I would also smooth out the vertical stripes a little and lower saturation so those colors don't compete with the bird and foreground. I also removed
the little white rock (?) near the bird's foot and rotated CW a tad.

    Very nice capture!

The original was nice and I agree with the comments and would add that the sense of motion was an added plus.
Davids work in the repost is nice, especially the BG.

beautiful light, gal. love the pose. agree with axel's suggestions. the bg in the original has some character that adds to the scene. david's repost cleans it up nicely, but just seems to become another bird photo. sorry, david!!!

The original post looks better to me, more sat and better colors there.
I love this image, nice low angle, lovely species and great detail.

Super low angle Gal, and I like the pose leaning forward. This is pin sharp and well exposed, and love the droplet on the end of the beak.

I prefer original better as morning lights produce such cast.
Nice low angle image. Wish the oof ground element would not hide the foot.
