i would have liked a better sun angle but that would have put me in grass much too tall and thick to shoot through or to get a low angle shooting angle which i thought made this particular image.

    thanks for looking!

Since the light is not too harsh the sun angle is not a major concern in my opinion. I like the angle, foreground and sharpness and wish for a bit more head turn towards you. I might give it a bit more room at the bottom for the 'virtual feet'.

Goo dwork with the OOF FG stuff. I agree with Axel that the sun angle isn't much of a concern here...but the HA is! In this situation, if you are concerned with the light angle, flash may help remedy the situation.

I don't really mind the sun angle. The eye is nicely illuminated and there's good feather detail in the rest of the bird's plumage. The bird does look slightly oversharpened on my monitor.

HA does not bother me too much. I like the FG and the BG both. Light angle also does not bother me. Only suggestion is to have more room below. Beautiful 'snail's eye-view' capture.

I really like this Scott. Super pose with good light on the eye, and like the OOF foliage in the FG. I agree with Doug, there is slight evidence of oversharpening down the side of the neck and body.

Like this too Scott. The comp and low viewpoint appeal to me and the light quality suits this. Couple of suggestions made would polish this off nicely, but the HA doesn't bother me here.

As presented work beautifuly for me, lovely low angle, love the OOF FG, light angle is nice IMO, nice colors, detail, exposure and sharpness. If something I would like the image to have more room at the bottom.
    Congratulations!
