Taken at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami Florida. This is one of the invasive species living in south Florida. Invasive, but quite beautiful.
    Critiques are appreciated, thank you.

    Hi Connie,
I like the low angle. That makes this an intimate image. I like the composition as well. I wish there is more space on the right side. You may tone down the whites a bit. Overall it looks nice.

    Cheers,

Thank you both for the input. Peter, I'm glad you mentioned the spot metering and added it to my info for this reason, wanting a comment from someone. FYI, I've recently switched to evaluative metering for almost all photos and wish I had done so when shooting this iguana. And since I posted here, maybe someone else will learn from my mistakes! In the meantime, I think I can fix the whites in LR. Thank you.

Fabulous pose and bg Connie. If your ethics allow it, that lower foot on the right is rescuable. Agree with suggestions already made.

Connie you have a nice image here. I like the composition with the low angle and the wonderful BG. I agree that whites need toning down. You might try a multiply layer to selectively control them.

Gorgeous Iguana with killer pose and BG.
I selected the highlights in Color Range, feathered and made a layer with them, using multiply as blending mode. Added another layer for more of the effect, hope you like it.

Thanks again everyone and thank you Fabs for taking the time to improve the image and I do like ti. Currently I am using LR and only dapple with PS. I plan to learn more as I go and will keep your suggestions in my notes.
