    Hi Alex

First of all a HUGE welcome to you buddy. Great to see you onboard the BPN ship, the best place to be on the net. Period. But I told you already. :)

Glad you finally pulled your finger out and posted. :D

I like your subject placement here. Light is excellent; there are nice graduations in the background and if it were mine, I would probably trim a touch more from above. Really nice image mate, look forward to seeing more of your great shots from home. On that note, do you think I minimal CW rotation would be good?

    Thanks for sharing. :)

I like the feather details espectually in the whites, the low angle and how one of the feet is raise off the mud. Wish I could see the other feet too and a more straight level on the transition in the background.

    Welcome Alex. ANother Aussie!!

What a fantastic first image. Akos says a CW rotate, I say a CCW.

Poor little bird has a broken leg?

    Hi Alex,
A big warm welcome to our BPN family Alex. Your first post is superb...:) you have a good head angle with a sharp eye, the catch light in the eye adds a natural touch to your subject. The color rendition is good, and I like the low capture angle, I like the fine natural details in the feathers...looking forward to seeing more...once again, WELCOME...

    ,
Just get some great birds at Hamo while you're there. See ya when you return. We'll go up Narrow Neck or Blue Gum.

Welcome Alex, great effort here, I love the low angle and the sharpness! This is a new shorebird for me, neat. The rotation would be an improvement but the bird looks "level" to my eye, so the mud line tipped to the right doesn't bother me. Keep um comin:D:D
