    Default preening black crowned

While i was photographing some Black Crowns feeding on the charles early one morning last spring i looked up into the canopy of trees to see this one getting a ray of sunshine on him or her through the leaves it was the only area lit up and lasted only a couple of minutes

    Nikon D2x with 400mm 2.8 at f6.3 and 1/1000th of a sec at ISO 100

Tricky situation. I might be inclined to take some off of the left and add some to the bottom. Good job seeing the moment and capturing it!

Almost works.....the bird is overexposed.. The leaves in front of his feet are bothersome also.

    Overexposed

maybe underexposed a little but i actually had to bring it up a tad and on a calibrated artisan monitor there are details in all white areas i can actually count the fine feathers on his breast
