This is absolutely beautiful Lady Jackie...my only suggestion would be to eliminate the cluster of branches on the right hand side of the frame...

Very beautiful image, doesn't look like it was HDR which is a good thing for me. I think it is raining in the distance. Agree about the branch.

Hi Jackie - HDR - Nicely done - shouldnt be able to tell - IMHO.
    Agree on the branches.
    Well done.

Jackie - very strong image, very nicely done. What I find most dramatic are the clouds and the light playing on the mountains, carrying the eye toward the light at the center of the image. Glimmers of Ansel here!
I am never sure what to do about the trees in the foreground of a mountain landscape. Unless one can get closer (physically or photographically) to the mountains, the treed foreground has to be there. I am not sure it adds to the overall strength of the image.
(I agree about the branches and I wish the 2 or 3 conifers almost dead center that overlap into the mountains weren't there).
    Cheers
    Gail

Took out the branches with the patch tool and cloning. Left it full frame , no cropping. Gail good points about the trees, seems that the more I learn about photography it seems to be about simplifying your picture. Hope this looks better.

Like the repost Jackie - although the conifers centre do draw the attention I feel they almost complete the downward line and fit in quite nicely. I like the clouds and feel you have achieved here.
