I took this image of the male Linnet during a short stay in England.
I have different images but I like this one with the fluffed feathers most.

Thanks for looking at my picture!

Nice light, BG, and colors. The image looks a bit flat, so I would boost the contrast. I would also prefer to see more of a head turn to the right, so the head would be more parallel to the sensor plane.

hi rosl, it looks like there is a slight green color cast over the bird. love the clean bg. the light is really soft and somewhat flat. maybe a bit of flash would have livened it up? dont mind the pose, but agree with aidan that a slight turn left would have been better.

You have good luck with the little critters :)

Agree it looks a bit soft as presented, the fluffed body is adorable. I may also crop some of the perch, not very pretty once the roses are gone.

I like the background and the colors. Agree with the flatness issue. I would also rotate just a hair.

I like it, this comp and crop works for me, I think that a tad more contrast would help here.
Congratulations, nice perch, BG, detail colors.

Beautiful shot. Great background. I agree with the others on a little more contrast.
I tried to photograph that species but I had a hard time even finding one. They've become really rare where I live - probably a trend similar to most of Europe.
