Fantastic, Mike! Look at that spot of light right on the center belly of the butterfly - that's simply fabulous! Everything is well blended and really gives the feeling of a beautiful environment befitting this beauty. The fact that you got the BG to match the exact shade on the butterfly really puts this over the top. I guess we'll be seeing you around here more often!

An exceptional job on the lighting. The composition with dof and butterfly on edge of leaf is also really nice. Well done. Dave

Mike, as Julie has already mentioned the lovely green in the butterfly goes so well with the BG. I would have liked a touch more DOF for the uppermost portion of the wing.

I especially like the composition, with that swoop of leaf for the butterlly to stand on, and how the green in the wings matches the surrounding green.

Nice composition and superb colors! A more parallel position to the plane of the wings, would have helped to a focused upper part of the wings...But, I know that ,this could be difficult in the field...

    Superb colours and comp.
The dof is always tricky with butterflies,it's often a compromise.
I think you've done it well.

Beautiful capture. I love the way the top of the wing melts into the background.
