Default Does this work? Rufous Hummingbird

Hi, I quite like this image of a male Rufous Hummingbird and I realize that the head-angle is way off the normal ideal. My question is, does the bird's seemingly curious look, flaming gorget, and red reflection on the underside of the bill override the head-angle considerations in this image? i.e. Does this 'work' for you?

Please comment on any other aspect of the image as well.

    Taken out my kitchen window, Canon 50D, 500 f/4 L & 1.4x, ISO 800, 1/125s f/5.6, TTL fill flash @ -1, BLUBB

Thanks in advance for your opinions, comments and critiques!

    Cheers!
    Bruce

PS Background looked very good in PS, now seems a bit noisy.

Works for me. I love the gorget, green BG, and exposure. I might crop a tad off the bottom though.

Gorgeous colors and details, though I wish the beak was sharper. Nice pose- good job.

I think the unusual head angle is a plus. It's refreshing to see poses out of the ordinary.

I would leave more room on the right rather than the left. That, of course, is not out-of-the-box thinking. :)

Thanks very much everyone for your comments. I didn't try a crop with more room on the right, but I will give it a try.

    Cheers!
