New Monitor Advice

I am looking to replace my monitor and still use my aging Dell XPS 400 computer. I am considering an HP LP2475w. It is my understanding that it is an h-ips type so should have great color.

My questions are
1: Amazon has said there may be an issue with the monitor. Is this one that the specs have been changed so h-ips is no longer part of the package?

2. Will my aging Dell run the monitor? I am not concerned about the USB ports.

3. How much more power will it take from my computer's power supply than my current Samsung 17" 4:3 LCD?


Last year I upgraded the graphics card to Radeon HD 2600 PRO 512 MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card

I did this to get direct 10 graphics to run CS4.

Any advice is most appreciated.
