    this guy was coming in for a close up! i think it's a cucumber beetle? shoulda looked it up.

    cropped for compo. ran NR on the bg and sharpened. that's about it.

    D300, Sigma 150, f/4.5, 1/80s, +1.0EV, ISO 800, bounce flash MP at 1/1

    thanks for looking. comments and critiques welcome and appreciated.

    I think it would be better without that "thing" - whatever that is :D - in the very foreground. The sharpness looks appropriate wherever it looks sharp as presented. Perhaps more DOF would help? As for cropping, I personally would crop some off the right, too.

    .... btw that is a leaf beetle not a cucumber !!! could be a milk weed? :)

    Your getting almost as good as our friend Gus with these macro's. Lots of details and I like your composition.

    Very nice MR H - Do like it as presented - wonder if some more DOF would have changed it a lot.

    Doctor, I like this as presented...I like the depth of field, and the selective focus point...good job...:cool:
