    I thought I will try one more time this week to get a good blur... this one is from early morning today. Here are the settings -

    40D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 500mm hand held
    1/20 sec, f/18 Mode: Tv Metering: Evaluative ISO: 100

    Rotated, cropped and selective color adjustment. All C&C will be appreciated.

    Indranil, Your persistence has paid off this is really, really good!! I might selectively sharpen the face more. The motion blur on the wings is terrific!! BG is clean and smooth!! Big Congrats!!

    sweet motion capture in the wings....a plus is seeing through to a nicely outlined body.
    You can still do a good bit more sharpening on the head without getting halos.
