I just obtained a spyder3 elite. One of my HP monitors has a program called HP My Display which I believe is a basic do it your self calibration program. Should I uninstall this default program so as not to conflict with the profile the Spyder ends up assigning ?
absolutely get rid of it Mike, and any profiles it may have created shsould go with it.and be sure at calibration
start that all monitor settings are at factory default. Also be sure Adobe Gamma is not active.
Once Spyder sets its own profile, it will run in background and be active at boot.
Not happy with my results. Overall appearance looks blah and not very bright or vibrant. Before when I looked at the calibration strip here I could discern the differences in the blacks. Now the first 3 from the left are not as distinct as before.
Edit: Think I figured it out. Guess I need to post something and get thrown to the wolves.
