    Thanks Stephen

I have been doing bugs for the past few weeks with my Mk3 and the ISO has been at around 1600 Can take a look over at macro, will post one later tonight !!!

For cleaning things up changed from NoiseNinja to Topaz 3 Doesn't soften the image and comes out great !!!

    hugs

Lovely comp, nice scene, light is nice, great pose, BG, detail and colors. My only suggestion would be to remove one of the catchlights. Congratulations!

The image displays very well in my monitor. It works really fine to me, very good composition, BG, singing pose an details. Flash light is a bit intense to my taste (just a bit) and I am not sure about saturation because I have never seen one of this birds in reall life, BG and seens OK in terms of saturation so I presume taht the bird is OK too. The lower mandible could work better with some toning down and I do not mind about the catchlight.

    Very good image Stephen

Great comp pose and bg. Well done on this. Do you think it might be on the bright side?

Maybe a touch heavy on the flash, but I like your perch better than mine :)

The lower mandible can be really challenging it seems with these guys. Very nice image, Stephen!

    Stephen:

Very nice bunting. Nice singing pose,HA.

Adding to what others have mentioned, it is a bit bright for my taste, esp. the plant. For me, it is a bit oversharpened, and is starting to get that cookie cutter look, esp. along the leading edge of body.

I took the liberty of a couple of tweaks.
    1) lowered overall midtone brightness
    2)selectively lowered brightness of plant
3)modest crop - just personal preference
4)reduced the contrast 2 points, as the blue channel was clipping

Juan - this is their true color, in the right light they are incredibly vivid!

Thanks for sharing this beauty. They are occassional visitors here, and always love to see them.

    Cheers

    Randy

Like Randy's crop as an option/extra choice, but prefer color and sat in original, with the lower beak being toned down as suggested.

    I like Randy's suggestion,
I'm not sure that the sharpest point is on its head.
The flash light is a bit strong.
