Well, first, forgive me for not participating much these last days, I have a lot going on here.
This image is from today, this bird is suposed to be in the north of Argentina, but this particular subject must have escaped from captivity and ended up living in Buenos Aires, he's the only one in the RECS (Reserva Ecologica Costanera Sur) and today was my first atempt to get a nice shot of him. I spend the afternoon with my friend Matías Romano, also photographer, we had a great time! Hope you like it! Enjoy!

Comments and critiques are welcome and apreciated!

    Ramon"

Nice to see you back, and with a lovely bird. Great colors, sharp where it needs to be. Fun perch, looks almost like coral. Good exposure. Pose.

In a perfect world, I might like a bit more DOF, but again, it looks like you were in fairly low light conditions. The perch is nicely in plane.

    Thanks

    Randy

Lovely! I like the composition. The background is very nice with great colors. Your exposure looks good to me as you have good details throughout the bird and perch . I also like the perch as it has lots of character. Thanks for sharing

Ramon, Welcome back, defiantly noticed your short disappearance:D
Simply stunning image. Colors are beautiful and the eye is very intense. Wouldn't change a thing here. Hopefully you have one of this species with a side view that you might post because I'd like to get to "know" this bird better. Congratulations.

Beautiful. Sharp and well exposed and well composed. The lichen on the perch is a real bonus.

Love the details, colors, BG and perch!! Since the perch adds interest great to get it all in focus(including those feet). I like the chosen DOF (even the OOF tail adds to this image). Wonderful subject, BTW!!

Stunner, Ramon! I wouldn't change a thing here. The DOF is fine IMHO, as stopping down might have resulted in a less sharp subject... BRAVO :)

Repost looks much better Ramón. I agree that a more DOF would be great but man you can be very happy with this excellent image. I would love to see this species, it is really beautifull.

I like the perch a lot and the eye is killer:)

Another vote for the repost, but I do feel am being picky as the image either way is pretty cool.

The contrast boost makes this much better. I like the soft light, angle and BG, too.

    So beautiful, stunning looking bird.
I like the colors on the repost but I prefer the beak from the first one.
There's a bit of noise on the lower part of the black throat.

Super comp and pose, and those colours are amazing Ramon. This is sharp, and what a great looking perch. The backs on the head are well exposed, and love the eye. Congrats on a fine image.
