Michael that is an amazing sky! I never hiked the East Rim Trail and I never saw this tower-so thanks for sharing. The IR looks nice.

Denise, this is the Easternmost point. You can drive there. The most amazing views of the Colorado are here as are the views of the Painted Desert from the Watchtower.

I remember that tower! Gosh, it seems like forever since I've been there.

I do like this image but feel the horizon is almost too centered - maybe a small slice off the bottom would give it more the 2/3 sky - 1/3 land feel? I'm also wondering...with a sky like this why even devote so much area to the landscape? That sky is the focal point IMO and nobody does IR sky like you, Mike.

I was trying to get the brush to act as a leading anchor towards the tower. I was thinking of cropping it from the bottom just above the brush on the left side.

Beautiful image, Michael. What I wouldn't give for some cloud action like that! As you will see in my lighthouse post, solid blue sky.

Michael, Very strong image and perfect for IR. I think you handled the image well compositionally and with a sky like that I don't mind that it takes up 2/3rds of the image. Well done!
