I opened the lid on a garbage can and look what I found. My wife, Shara says do something, so I ran and got my camera, what else should I have done? Notice in the eye, me taking the picture and Shara standing on the left watching. ISO 200, f/8.0, 1/60 sec, EF180mm f/3.5L Macro USM, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. Enjoy........

PS: Shot with my Canon 50D and cropped

Great close-up. Real nice detail. What kind of snake is it?

Hey, that is exactly what I would have done, first, too!!

There seems to be a bluish tint to the eye. Can you clear that up?

It was around noon and it was a bright blue sky. I guess I could warm it up.....

Even tighter, I like it...... Might be too much contrast, let's see what others think.....

Richard, all I touched was the iris. but it does look a bit too dark. I cropped only to focus on the eye adjustment, not as a cropping suggestion. I did not use the contrast tool, only selected the lower part of the iris, desaturated, and then darkened, in order to remove the bluish tint from the lower part without removing it from the sky reflection.

Great find Richard !!! I like the tighter look ... great eye on the cast Cheryl !!!

btw tech wise would have increased the ISO .. I get nervous at those slow speed !!!

2nd repost is on the money - love the eye - maybe a tad of sharpening to the iris.
Glad he hung around for you :)
