Looking across Puget Sound towards the Cascades. Still a few minutes before sunrise; it is the reflection of the sun, not the sun itself, that you can see in the sky. This made it much easier to get a decent exposure!

and yes, the sun does (sometimes) appear in the Pacific Northwest!

Stephen, beautiful light and a nice touch to see a sunrise over water from the west coast! I really like the colors and the silhouette of the land. I would suggest cropping some of the image from the top for a stronger composition and I think the sun reflection is a bit too centered. I do like the image as presented though. Nice work!!

Hi Stephen - love the soft oranges and reds - I agree with Kerry - the sun a little too centered and a crop from the top along the lines of the rule of thirds would make a stronger image.
    Keep em coming :)

Hi Stephen Sweet sunrise and well captured !!!

Not sure if you had a chance and what else was around but a two image stitch pano would have looked great !!! Just move the sun to the side more but one fine image !!!

I like the pattern of the clouds and how the red light grows on it, very dramatic.
