    Default Red Bellied Woodpeckers

Chicks in the nest, these birds are running a relay to feed em. One comes in , one goes out. In another week maybe I'll get to see them.

    Thanks for looking, Rick

Hi Rick. I like the comp, soft light and the BG. The heads of the birds seem a bit soft on my monitor though? maybe the birds flinched a bit as you captured? This is a winner with both adults captured though!

That's a very nice photo, I enjoyed it
I don't think that 1/500 is enough for those fast moving birds.
    The angle is too low.

    Hi Rick,

Great shot! There's a red-bellied woodpecker family in a tree a few doors down from my house. It's interesting to observe their food relay behavior, isn't it? I'm sure this is one of the few times during the day the mom and dad were able to have a face-to-face meeting. Try to get your lens more level with the nest for the next shot.
