Junior is ready to fly South with all the juveniles. Dad still brings food for him, but he will have to hunt before he can be left alone. Exposing these birds can be very difficult. I've been sacrificing the whites and using the recovery slider to maximize detail on the underwings, whenever possible. Sometimes, if UW are in the shade, there's nothing you can do. Flash will not reach their height and with the high shutter speed anyway, not an option.

Awesome captured moment Fab. Superb detail and exposure as well as composition. These birds have been a challenge but you over did yourself on this one. Love it.

Great job dealing with these situations. I love the wings up for balance. The feather detail is lovely also. Wouldn't change a thing with this. Congrats.

Well done considering the conditions. Just enough lens to capture the action without clipping anything. See you in the morning!

An interesting shot, love the wing span and the fact you can see the entire lizard. How lucky to have these birds on one's property!

Stunning image. I can not find anything I would change on this one.

Excellent shot Fabs, love the detail and full wing, have you ever tried NX2 local control points? It does a great job recovering UW detail without touching the whites.

Excellent interaction shot Fabs! Love the food item and the sort of intimate passing over moment! Sharpness and perch are great, maybe the angle is not the most ideal but I would still take this in a hearbeat. Well done!

The underwing detail and exposure look good to me Fabs, and sharp too. Great interaction between the two, and he looks big enough to soon fend for himself. Hope he makes it.

I like the interaction that you have captured Fabs and the space left in the comp and the inclusion of the foliage. I think it would be good if you can get a touch more detail out of the front birds dark feather at end of the wing.

You guys are killing me with all these great images. I think I like this one as well as any.....especially when there's one less iguana around.
