    Nice warm light, and raised foot. The muddy bill shows the feeding activity. It could use some rotation though, and the bird looks a tad oversharpened.

    BTW, this is a Marbled Godwit.

    Yup in the baylands near the Byxbee park. leveled the horizon by 0.5 degrees, reduced sharpening.

    Thanks Aidan, Sharpening is tricky, I usually post process on my 21" LCD which is 1600X1200 pixels, sometimes when I look at the pics on my Lenovo 15" laptop screen which is 1680X1050 it looks oversharpened because of higher resolution, it's nice to hear from people with different screens to see where the optimum point is:)

    That is one muddy bird :) Nice behavioral image, with good light and sharpness. The whites on the face look hot due to the warm light.
