Hi Ed, I like the IR on the trees and the water most especially. Not sure I love the comp.-but can't seem to come up with one to offer that I like better. I think the leaves in the ULC are a bit distracting. I feel like this has a slight magenta cast. I do like the way the trees are sweeping the Lehigh and I just love that part of PA.

Well until you can, this one will have to do! :D;)

I was wondering about those. I went out as far as I could on the point and I just couldn't get all of them out of the frame.

If you are talking about the water, it seems to be localized where there are shadows on the water. Could that be the cause?

Yep, that's the version I was thinking of although Creedence Clearwater did the original.

Ed, I'm seeing the magenta on parts of the trees also. I just put it through LR2 and used the color picker, I liked the pinks but the blues made them look purplish,so I removed a bit of the blue. Not sure if you'll like it but you can at least see.

This is so neat Ed. I am starting to like this IR stuff very much. It gives such a different rendition of a scene.

Not sure I like the tritone. Since the sky is such a small piece in the pic, it almost looks pasted in. I'd say go all B&W and burn the leaves a tad.

BTW, do you notice any difference using the 50 1.8 which it was calibrated with and different lenses?

I agree with Michael - there's just something about the blues and the magenta color cast in this one that just doesn't do it for me. The sky does look pasted in and the trees look blown in the highlights.

I'd try this in black and white like he suggested and see if it looks more realistic. Sorry, I'm just not loving this one like all your others.

Ahhhhh, you guys are killing me. One image all day with sky in it and your picking on it. :(

OK, I'm not really upset. :D But it was the only IR image of the day with sky. Anyway, I tried to desaturate and go black and white. And I did a bit of burning. And I don't really like the image that way. I think now the b/w accentuates the comp issues that Denise brought up. But here it is anyway.

I think I agree with you; but it never hurts to try it.
