Denise I like the low angle and the composition. the bicolored Bg works for me but I think that the color temperature is a bit cold (the greens, mainly). I like the pose of the bird and the open bill. may consider the posibility of lighten the eye just a bit. Good job :-)

Thanks Juan, Lightened the eye-and added some warmth. Is this better?:)

    Denise,

I really love the feel of the little plants in the background... makes it seem like a miniature forest. I'm usually not a big fan of the light direction against the angle of the bird, but given the harshness I think it works here to keep from blowing out the bright white chest. Of course, as others mentioned the angle and details are great :)

    HI Denise
What a gorgeous little fellow you got here! I think the comp's perfect, the open bill tells the story and the repost is very appealing. I honestly would have been happy with the OP myself. I read and re-read Juan's comments and can see what a difference the experienced eye made to the final presentation. :)

The repost has much better colors.
great picture, maybe a bit to much room to the left.

    Hey Denise,
Glad you found it OK......I think you did really well considering the BG's there and I actually like the space around (rare for me!). Very nice shot of the chick and I do prefer the warmer version. If it were mine.....I'd probably go for the greenery FG removal....but personal choice there. Very nicely done!

I like the repost, Denise. The pose with the open beak is very nice and I like the way the beak is mostly framed in a lighter area of the background instead of blending with the green plants. You might consider removing the single spot of green in the foreground as it tends to draw my eye. Well done.

Composition is very strong and the repost is better. I would probably remove the green in the foreground.

Too cute! Looks quite vulnearble. I would also go for the suggested removal of the small green vegetation in the FG, as well as the small curved branch close to the chick. The expression is priceless!!

Congrats Denise. Super comp with the perfect angle. Love the open beak, and well done on the exposure. I like the OOF vegatation in the BG and I would get rid of the small twig infront of the chest.

Cute little birdie! I like the warmer repost Denise. Another vote for removing the two bits of vegetation in front of the bird.

I like the pose, sharpness, angle and open beak. Adding to the other comments, I would tone down the whites on the shoulder and lighten the eye a bit. It seems you had a good time there. :)
