Never have seen one of this guys in breeding plumage, in Spain they are always in winter dress :-)
The BG, pose, DOF, composition, perch and eye are killer. In my opinion, but it is only a matter of taste, the image seems just a bit bright and I think that adjusting the levels in the Bg and in the whites would made the bird poo even more. Very good image... I am envious!

That is one stunning bird. I love the eye, BG, and soft light. The repost improves an already lovely image.

Great looking plover with excellent detail and clean BG. The perch also adds to this image. Congratulations on a lovely capture Johannes.

Never seen one of these before. Lovely mottled colours, sharp, and what a great BG. Thanks for sharing.

I like the angle, perch, eye contact and BG and would give it a bit more room at the bottom since the perch looks so nice and might sharpen the bird a tad more. Thanks for sharing, it's always great to see beautiful birds nesting far north.
