Does anyone understand the "Double Exposure" feature.
What is "exposure latitude"?

Lol, I think this is more rumor and wishful thinking :D Nikon's main business is steppers and with such bad economy they have cut back on R&D and production. If you look at B&H website most of their gear is out of stock, it took me 2 months to finally get a 24-70!!!
^ agreed that sounds like a pretty aggressive plan to me
I too think that sounds like the dream list of a Nikon shooter but Nikon has produced a lot of awesome stuff during the last three years so maybe at least some of this is true.
It's doesn't take a genius to figure out that a D4 and D400 will be coming in the not too distant future.
Let's just wait and see. For me as a Canon shooter all this would be great as it will continue to put pressure on Canon and maybe force them produce a real competitor to the D300.

Agree competition is good and hope they are going ahead with the mentioned gear.
Nothing outrageous about the items listed !!!
I want the 400vr f.56! I want the 120-450vr!! NOW!!!:)
..... can't blame you Dan :)
If this is true it seems that we still won't see something like a 4/200-500, 5.6/200-600 or 5.6/300-800 from Nikon soon.
The Sigma 5.6/300-800 seems to be very good. If Nikon (or Canon) could make such a lens with VR/IS I think it would be a big seller - despite high prices.
And a 4/200-500 still does not exist. Maybe it is to hard to reach high quality here but if Nikon can do it with the 4/200-400 it should be possible with a wider zoom range. Sigma could have done it by they chose to build the pretty useless 2.8/200-500 (at least useless for nature photographers).

Read a column on Thom Hagen's website that says this "release" is bogus.
Not to start a war here Marcus but I own a 50D and have a D300 at work and the former is every bit as good as the latter. And I much prefer the Canon ergonomics so for me that one wins. If you put them side-by-side in dpreview.com they are remarkably similar in features.
