    Default Common Kingfisher Landing Blur

Hello everyone! My first post in this forum!
This shot was made in early morning low light conditions when shutter speed was really low. The bird has been discovered recently to be relatively tame and regular to this particular perch. Had been wanting to try and catch some action shots of it fishing. This particular one was done after its second dive in that particular morning. The original image was not as sharp on the head and the output is the result of multiple layering, USM, cloning out of sharpening artifacts and tons of luck. :)

    1DM2N, 1/40, f/6.3, 600mm, ISO400

    Well, I don't like you anymore :)

I LOVE those wings and working the image was worth it!

    Red carpet welcome to BPN!

Welcome to BPN! I remember this image and still like it. Very interesting idea and the fish adds to it. You can post images that are 750 pixels on the longest side.

I like this image. It is hard to get good action shots of moving wings. Well done.

Welcome to BPN and a wonderful example of a blur images. The blur is perfect and the focu is where it needed to be with excellent detail in the face and feet. The fish is a real added bonus in this capture. Look forward to seeing more in the future !!

This is just stunning! Love the action, the blur, the BG colour. Wish for a little more light on the head would be my only nit. Welcome to BPN and look forward to more of your posts!
