Captured this about a month ago at a local waterway. I wish for a better angle, but had no choice. This specimen allowed a close approach. Cropped from horizontal, ff vert. Also lightened its right eye.

Lovely light, exposure, and details. Angle is just a bit step IMO. I would crop some from the right side, and lighten the area around the left eye.

    Well Done!

Great work with the whites, I really like the warm colors on the bird,
as you say better angle would be good.
The plant on the right is bit distracting, perhaps tighter crop or so...
    I like it.

I agree about the plant on the right. Otherwise this is one fine image.

Akos, Beautiful bird you captured here and a great exposure. Love the color on the breast and top of head. Other than whats been said about the plant on the left, I'd also clone out some of the needles crossing in front of him. Congrats.

    Hi Akos,
Agreed with suggestions above......cropped and eye lightened with a slight boost in contrast to it. Could you wish for a better angle.....sure, but not bad as presented and a nice capture nevertheless.

Very beautiful Akos, you captured the whites and eye detail very well. I like Roman's tighter crop and I'd also take out the two strands right above the claw.

Thanks for your kind comments and pp tips. Roman, thanks for taking the time. I was thinking of the RHS and admittedly I got lazy. Shame on me. :)

Beautiful capture with a sweet pose and lovely eye contact. The angle is a little steep but there is not always a way of getting around that. Fine image and many thanks for sharing Akos.

They perch where they perch and we do the best we can with the tools that we have. Repost looks nice.

Hey Akos! Another lovely image! You did a great job on exposure, sharpness and details. Love the perch. I like Roman's crop and brighter eye.

    Cheers!

    Gracias Don Juan!

I kind of understand what you are saying, but do you know how long it will take Google to translate? ;) I sincerely appreciate your kind comment.

Roman's photo makes justice to the bird and makes the composition a little more pleasent to the eye. The idea of lighten the eyes is a good one. I love the eye contact in this one and it seems to me that the composition could be improved if you crop from left or right since it looks too centered for my taste. :):D:cool:

Ita amazing how these flimsy perches hold these guys up. You did very well with the exposure, sharp, and Roman's repost works well. Well captured mate.

What a stunning bird! I wish they lived in Florida, too.

    Beautiful, Akos.
