Perfect exposure and sharpness, and a nice low angle. I like how you used DOF here to create an interesting composition. About the only thing I could ask for would be for the bird on the left to be looking towards the right a little more, echoing the pose of the bird on the right.

Very nice species Fabs. I also enjoy seen the BG in this one. Do you have a version with both birds in focus? I guess you do. Congrats.

    Thank you guys :)

No JC, that I don't have since they were too far apart and in different focal planes to get good DOF on both.

Hi Fabs, I have to agree with Doug; your use of depth of field is very appealing. Th overall composition makes for a a very very nice image. Thanks for sharing.

Very appealing image Fabs. The dark markings of the left individual look great against all those soft colours.

I really like the dreamy feel here. The out of focus bird definitely adds to this image, he almost looks like a ghost! Congrats!

I guess I typed as you posted the other image. They are both nice, but I prefer the first as it looks like the far bird is looking straight at the near one - I like that aspect of the first image.

Hi Fabs, Great gentle feeling to this/these images Fabs! I like them both, but if I had to choose, it would be the first one.

    Cheers!

    Hi Fabs,

Very interesting image. I guess I will be the only one, but I don't care for the oof bird in the fg. For me personally it is drawing my eye too strongly to appreciate the rest of the image. I think I would prefer it without the oof bird.
That being said, I still find this interesting and ootb:)

    Hi Fabs

I like both versions very much. Have you considered the crop I am reposting? Just thought it would feel a bit more balanced. A subjective thought of course.
    Thanks for sharing. :)

Sorry, no PS at work, so I clipped your autograph.

Im going to be the odd one out and say i dont like the OOF one. Reason Being that it seem distracting. Keeps taking my eye off the other one.
Great comp detail and exposure well done

I like the concept and the o-o-f bird, but, as Captain of the HA Police, I have to say that the HA on the first one is not enough and the HA on the second one is two much. You will need to use the HA Blending Tool that is coming in CS-5.

Exposure at its best Fabs. I like how it is standing on one leg, and the HA could have been slightly more. I prefer your OP. Congrats.

Artistic, restful, dreamy. The first one, as posted, appeals to the quiet part of my being.

I like your second post the best. But, all are good. The thing I like the best is the simplicity of the image. The colors are wonderful and the way the image has you feel you are there.

Different, but works extremely well with the oof bird in the foreground. Great shooting with you this am.

Different and creating great interest. Nobody has mentioned it, but I'd have liked the nearer bird in focus, as I find it being oof jarring.
