    Default Metz 54 on Canon 40D issue?

    Maybe someone can help shed a little light on this for me. I have a Metz 54 flash with TTL module on a Canon 40D and can't get it to flash sync above 1/250th, my Canon EX580II will high speed flash sync is this a setting to change or incompatibility issue with Metz and Canon? Any help would be appreciated.

    I dont know anything about that flash but I saw this on an amazon review

    "It took me a while to find the trick to getting the flash into E-TTL mode (select TTL mode then use the roller to add the E"

    or maybe its an option button for high speed like on the canon 580EX ?
