This is one of our more inconspicuous species on the SE of Australia. The Rock Flathead a.k.a Crocodilefish. Not seen often due to its incredibly good camouflage. I photographed this with a Nikonos V, 35mm lens and 1:1 extension tube, Fujichrome Sensia 100, f/22 at 1/90th single overhead strobe.

Very cool image it looks like a creature from out of space, think it could use a bit more sharpening.

THanks Don for looking. I realized the sharpening myself. On my home laptop it appeared fine. I'll fix. :)

That's definitely an otherworldly image. :) Nicely done.

I like the composition and the only suggestion I would make would be to clone out the water debris in the upper right corner.

Very cool Akos! Is this the same species as the one that Jay, Alfred and I have been posting? It blows me away how loose the eyeball looks in it's socket!

    Cheers!

That's another really cool eyeball image, Akos! I agree that a bit more sharpening would help and removing the debris particles in the URC would be nice as well. I can't tell on my work monitor for sure but the bottom of the frame feels really dark and heavy compared to the rest of the image. Again, is there any way to open that up a bit more in pp?

Now that is spooky... but really cool at the same time.
