Came across this Towhee while he was in a very cooperative mood, although he stayed kind of high in the trees he gave me lots of good poses.

    Hi Mark

Lots of good things going on here !!! I like the pose, clean bg and minimizing perch Did make a sharp image !!

Angle wise as noted is sort of steep, exposure there is an area on the side of the body with little or no information. Can try multiplying or just clone some texture form surrounding, will look natural. Sharpness wise give it a another pass around the head area and finally go over the bg to reduce noise.

btw one trade off for these images up in trees is backing away. With a 500 I sometimes elect to use a 2X and shoot from further away to lessen the angle !!!

    Hi Mark,
I like your capture...agree with Mr. Forns' fine assessment of your composition, I might add that it also needs a low intensity pass of noise reduction...looking forward to your next one...

Hi Agree with AL - some more sharpening on the bird and some NR on the backgound.
Also your whites in a couple of areas of the breast are on the edge - a multiply layer would restore some detail.
    Keep them coming :)
