    Default Avian Contortionist

I expect the experienced birders have seen this type of image many times but it struck me as most unusual. In the frame a fraction of a second before this cap the Little Wattlebird was perched quite upright on the bare twig seen just to the lower right of his feet.

    Olympus E-3 & 50-200mm @ 130mm, 1/1250 sec, F5.

    Thanks for taking a look!

Thanks Judy Lynn. The capture was just a stroke of good luck. I was shooting him feeding on the flower to his upper right with 3 fps auto-bracketing and he suddenly took off.

Thanks Gus, it's just amazing to me to actually see what these amazing critters can do.
