This is an image that I shot at Lion Country Safari, WPB, a few years ago. I've used it for a Christmas card in the past. I was looking at some old images this week and wanted to try something different with this one. The blurs didn't work for obvious reasons, The camouflaged stripes just got more blurred! :D

The image was two zebras standing on a small rise near the exit from the safari area. Like sentinels standing guard! The original had a lot of background that I cloned out in the final image, which I used for the card. This rendition is that image where I used the Poster Edge, Glowing Edge and Embossed filters. I liked the way the stripes reacted to the embossing.

    Enjoy!

Here is the original as scanned on our flatbed from a print. Not the best image, but one to have some fun with.

No PP applied for this use. Figured real would do.

I like the made soup from a stone Denise. Never heard that expression before!

Indeed, a ot so appealing base image with a bit of work turned into a real masterpiece IMHO. Thanks for sharing and explaining the techniques used Mark.

Thank you, it was fun. While the original is not that great, the image is. I like the results and the soup wasn't bad either! ;) :D
