Well, it was supposed to be my 1000th post. The other day, I put up a few comments, posted an image, and saw it was #1000. This is the one I had saved. Created at my favorite local beach, and I feel it represents much of what I have learned from many of you hear at BPN. Most of all, it represents my vision. Hope you like it, and my thanks to everyone here.

    Congratulations for your 1000th post.

Very nice light, low angle, detail, eye contact and I love the little green plant. It is not too close and not too far from the bird. Very nice photo for the special post.

I like this a lot! Great angle, pose, details, light but the inclusion of the habitat puts it over the top for me.

Nice soft light and delicate bird. Good job on including the environment in a pleasing way. I really like the way the eye turned out. This picture gives a sense of how small and fragile this bird is. Congratulations on #1000!

You saved a beauty for your 1,000th post Grace. What a small and delicate bird. Perfect eye contact, exposure, and sharpness. The included habitat and the golden light really add a lot to the image IMO.

Beautiful image! All has been said. The only thing that I can add is, my eye detects the little weed in the lower left near the signature, very very minor! Congratulations on a great image and the 1000 + posts.
