Which one do think is better. What do you think of the clipped leaves? I posted a similar horizontal version the other day.

I just scrolled back and don't easily find the other one...so I'll comment on this one. The bg, perch and bird are lovely. The vertical presentation and the position of the bird is artistic, has an oriental feel perhaps. Yes, I do mind the clipped leaf, esp the one on the right. It's hard to see that as you photograph because of concentration on the subject, but the elements are important.

I like the composition better in this one but would include both leaves unclipped if you have more room.

P.S.: I added the link to the previous post.

Aidan, I prefer this one, as it shows more of the perch - but hope you still have room to include the rest of the clipped leaf. His beak is also cleaner. LOL.

I'll be the au contraire, I like the pose, composition and bigger bird in the first one.

I like the first one as I feel it places more attention on the bird while including the colorful part of the perch. However, both are very nice. Good show!

My preference would be for the first also. Both are very nice, but the bird is much more dominant in the first photo. Dave

    Hi Aidan.

I like both images but I will go for the first post. The warmer color balance and composition makes that one for me. Great looking bird.
