    Default focus question.

First I'm not looking for a nikon/canon debate both makes are good camera.

What I'm looking for is info from people who have used or have knowledge of both the nikon d300 and canon 50D, to tell me what they are like for taking bird in flight shots as far as speed of focus lock on and holding the bird in focus.

    Thanks.

    Iain,

I have used both, though neither is my main camera. Both focus well and work well for BIF shots. I haven't done a lot of PP with the images from these cameras, so I'm not sure about the image quality.
