First I want to thank Artie for the email today encouraging us to access and use this forum. Thank you Artie!!!
This is a GREAT resource!!!
I use Breeze Browser and like the way the photos are displayed in jpeg in the program. Does anyone know the exact settings they use such as contrast; sharpening; etc. etc. to display the images?
Best,
Michael
Michael,
You may already know this, but take a look at the 'Help' menu and then go to 'Preference settings' and then 'Image display'. This shows the help file for this part of BreezeBrowser and it would indicate at least that the default for 'HQ' sharpening is 75. I don't know about the rest of the settings, but hopefully this at least helps a bit? You of course change all these settings using 'File' 'Preferences'.
I too like the way BreezeBrowser shows JPEGS, and it's a great simple fast piece of software.
Cheers,
Brent
Hi Michael, duplicating HQ Sharpening has come up on the Breeze Systems forum before and in one post... http://www.breezesys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1008
...it was suggested by someone that HQ Sharpening could be simulated by...
1) Duplicate the image as a layer.
2) Set the blending mode of the top layer to Luminosity
3) USM the top layer at 142, 0.5, 0
4) Flatten
but I have not tried it so cannot comment on its effectiveness. No idea about the other settings.
