    Default Desert Cottontail

This rabbit had a torn ear (perhaps from living in a blackberry thicket?) but a quick visit to the Photoshop hospital :D took care of the problem.

Camera: Leica R8 with DMR digital back
    Lens: Leica 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R with 1.4x APO-Extender-R
    Support: Shoulder stock & monopod
    Location: Sacramento County California
    Date: April 2008
    Exposure: about 1/125 sec @ f/8 (effective), ISO 400
Light: open sky, sun filtered through background trees (camera in full sun)
Light metering: camera's built-in spot meter, manual mode

    All comments welcome.

    Doug,

Like the position of the Hare, the habitat and the mild backlighting and soft BG. I suggest going with the ear as torn. Good sharpness too.

Good job on the ear, I love the soft back light and the fact he's eating.

Nice one, Doug. The ears with that backlighting are super. You could emphasize that feature a little more by dimming the
background a bit with a gradient -- and maybe brighten the face just a tad.

    Doug,
Good photoshop job. Would like to see the original as well. I like the repost as well.

    Cheers,

Sweet shot Doug. Good ps work. Not entirely sure if was needed, as part of the fabric of life, but do not intend going into "one" on that issue.

Here's the rabbit before healing the ear:
