    here's one from saturday morning at the bug joint. small crop for compo and a little sharpening. i think i may have smoothed a couple of areas in the bg too. i wasnt sure if the line acrossed the back was a shadow or a marking so i left it as is.

    D30, Sigma 150, f/5, 1/200s, +1.0EV, ISO 200

    comments and critiques welcome and appreciated.

    I like the composition, image and capture Doctor...so this is what a stink bug looks like...:eek::D Let me guess...they smell like perfume...:D:cool:

    Harold Better than anything I came up with !!! The perch is the problem Lots of cutter Do like the way you got stinky !!!!

    great detail on that bug!! glad you got the face. I like the water drops too. but the bright parts of the plant are distracting. great sharpness.

    I found one of these in my house and quickly escorted the little guy to the back yard. More DOF would have improved the sharpness throughout the subject. Of course, the slower shutter speed would have required a tripod unless you use a flash as your light source. I would go for a tighter crop.

    Harold, I think you got some really good details on your bug. Harold are you ever w/o your tripod or flash?

    Lots of detail, would also crop a bit tighter.

    Love the details on the bug, the water droplets and the reflection inside them. Wish that the bug's antenna didn't get block. Agree with more DOF and I think the black background on the right is a little distracting.
