    Default Skimmer Ground Pod?

Wondering if anyone here has experience using the Skimmer Ground Pod? Looks as though it could be quite useful when crawling on hands and knees to get to the water's edge etc. At about $100 looks expensive for a fancy piece of plastic, but things cost money...

    Any views?

    Thanks,

    Gerald

I have used mine several times and I like it. However, I have read where people have made their own using aluminum skillets or frisbees. You might look into making your own....at a fraction of the cost.

Hi Gerald Agree with Lana you can make your own just make sure its portable !!!

The Skimmer Ground Pod is on the large size and inconvenient to carry. Using a head makes the set up even more tedious. I like the Anderson Ground Pod, can see at Artie's store, will fit in a vest pocket and won't know its there.

Picking the right one has to do with what works for you and making your own is an option.

Thanks Al and Lana. Maybe I will try making one myself as "proof of concept" and if it works for me, invest in the real thing!

    Best regards,

    Gerald
