    Speed Dreamer:

This is an old image I shot while stopped at a red light one day in
our downtown area. Made a selection of the guy, half his right arm
and half the bag. Blurred bg with motion blur, added canvas left
and right just by dragging a selection of the blur. Image must
be perfectly level for this to work well. Used a layer mask 20-30%
to blend guy's selection with the blur

Hmm, this blur stuff is creative fun........I try to see the final
    image before processing then play!
Thanks for looking in and c/c

Very good Dave, I really like it. I have only one comment. I wonder if the right leg and shoe should be slightly blurred as well, to show that part of the body moving. I think blurring the left side of the right leg would so imply. I've been looking at it throughout the day and everytime I look, that seems to be an issue for me. Your image, just wondering ...

thanks Mark and you have a good point....and there is always a "but " I guess.
But the idea is that he is totally motionless and oblivious to the world's activities
going on about him. The extended arm is "out there" and symbolically in the activity.
Hope this makes sense......I very much appreciate your pondering several times
    and offering a suggestion

Very creative Dave. I like the sleeper with the blur. A great combination and makes a funny impact. Well thought out.
