    Nice light, wing position, and exposure. Great HA. I am not to fond of the BG, and I might try lightening the far wing a little if it doesn't bring out too much noise.

    I can appreciate the difficulty of achieving this image. Good wings-down position and I love the curled primaries, and I agree about lightening the far one. The BG is OK, but there are lighter spots that draw my eyes just above the bird.

    As good and loverly as this is--I love the wing position here--my memory is that the first one was a bit sharper with a more even BKGR.

    I liked the first one more - but this is still a lovely shot Stu! agree with trying to recover detail from inner left wing. the eye stands out nicely!

    Agreed about first one preference. :) THis has a wonderful downstroke and the feathers look fab mate. BG is not too bad but not too good either for me. :_
