Okay, I am a little behind on the assignments---things should start slowing down in a couple of weeks and I can get back here more often. I always learn so much--it is such a fantastic site!!
This was for the DOF assignment.:o
Most of you know how mean these little Snowy can be. The one in front just made the mistake of encroaching on the others territory.

I like the action capture Kathy and your DOF. The front bird is nice and sharp and you have frozen the action. Thought it was a little dark so I brightened it in curves and put it through a warming filter. I like your crop. I think you should try posting in Avian:)

The action of the front bird is great, and you have wonderful details even beneath the wings. I like how that bird really stands out from the background. I think the repost improved an already excellent image.

Nice image. I would normally like to see a little more canvas in front of the bird, but given that this give the impression of more of a "jumping bird action", given the head angle and the feet, than a bird taking flight, I like it as is. As it is unclear where the bird is going, so the addition of canvas on the left, in my view, would not improve it.

The DoF works like a champ on this one, and you froze the moment of action beautifully. All i would do it lighten the birds some (especially the escapee in front) -- but not the background, and perhaps take out the branch at top left that merges with the wingtip. Nice job, Kathy!
