    I worked on this image this morning for quite awhile. If I remember correctly, I did a radial / spin blur on everything but the stamen/pistol and then added a little gaussian blur at the end, again - masking off the stamen/pistol area.

    Very pretty, you spent your time well, I might have tapered off the top right corner a little more so that it wasn't such a large solid color, however that could be a jepg thing going on and I just can't see the gradient from your yellows to the darker color. Very nice though

    Rod, you're right...there is a bit more color definition in the original but I think you're also right that it could use a little more. Thanks for the second pair of eyes!

    Two words. Large Print. Simple with absolutlely beautiful colours Julie. Love the placement of the stamens and the treatment you have done here.

    As always.....another wonderful macro image. I'm a big fan of yours. I even went out and cut come wild day lilies to experiment with. Such a great plan.....until one of my cats bit the flowers off the stem. Oh well....it's the thought that counts and I have yours to admire.

    Lana, that's too funny! I have two dogs that have been known to ruin an image or two as well so I feel your pain!
