    Hi,

This image was taken in early June in the vicinity of Corpus Christi, TX. Thank you to the folks in the Southwest Forum who pointed me towards suitable places in the area.

Thank you also to Axel Hildebrandt and Dave Phillips who both helped me in my first steps re monitor calibration and color management with my new Macbook Pro. Still a bit unsure in this area and hence appreciate your feedback re colors in particular.

    Thanks in advance. Best, JR

Colors and exposure control look good on my monitor, I also like the BG. I might sharpen the bird a bit less and wish the OOF bird were angled towards you.

I support Axel's comment. Great exposure and color control.
Have you tried to clone out the OOF bird? It could strenghten the com.

glad you are doing well John....this is nice light but IMO also, the oof does
not add a good element to the image. Here is a slight recrop and some canvas added.
The patch tool took out the oof bird in one loop.

    Just an option my friend

Thank you all for the feedback. Much appreciated!

I think I agree with Alex re the sharpness. Checked my files again and it seems that something happened in GraphicConverter when I resized and converted from tif to jpg. It's a tad fried.

And wow. Thanks Dave for taking the time to reprocess the image. I thought the OOF bird adds some depth (well, and I don't have any advanced Mac photoediting software at the moment) but seeing your repost it is clearly better. Did you also run some noise reduction? It looks better than my original post.

    Best, JR
