This one was playing peek-a-boo with me all morning.
The location is Lincoln NH, plain great place in the White Mountains.

    Fill flash -1 1/3

    Comments appreciated...

A little busy IMO and I wish his body wasn't half covered by the leaf. I know these guys are shy yet curious. You definitely did good with such a low shutter speed.

I really like the setting and don't find it too busy and also like the composition. I wouldn't mind seeing the tail, too, but like it as is.

I do like that you have a capture that includes the habitat/environment. The bird peaking out from behind the leaf helps create a mood. Thanks for sharing.

I do like the mood created here. Some of the leafs look strange though, almost as if they were blurred.

Fair enough, I used flash here (technically fill flash though)

Thanks Axel, at first I discarded this one, but then I liked the shape of the leaves so I tried to do something out of it.

Ha, good catch. Indeed they are blurred, just a bit though. I liked the round and soft shape of the leaves
vs. the pointy and "sharp" of the bird so I decided to emphasize the difference by blurring the leaves just a bit.
I started with a very plain looking image and tried to experiment a bit to see what I could do.
I'm glad you like the mood...
