This is my oldest cat Laura who I have had since she was six weeks old. (now 14) In preparation for our photo shoot I have bribed her with two small bowls of tuna which have put her in a trance-like, catatonic (sorry had to say it:)) She lays on her back with all her paws up in the air sometimes for up to an hour to show her bliss. Tuna is a special treat for her:) She is very gentle, but loves to rest a lot.
For her it definitely effects her kittly thoughts, but if you want the real thing, get some dried catnip and pinch it (to release the oils) and sprinkle it around. This does have a pronounced effect on most cats Dave! (in a good way though:)}

I had to laugh with this one. I joke that my 3 cats are like little children that always keep me busy. When I need for them to take a "nap" I give them each a little catnip.....let them run around and then give them tuna. They're down for the count for the whole afternoon. She is precious.
