Tried this with Monet but it didn't look like an egret when I was done, tried Camille. ;)

a nice rendering Kerry, egret looks a bit blended in.....one trick is to save the image
out of DAP as a layered psd, then you can control the egret via a mask.

    just a thought sir

Kerry, I agree w/ Dave. If you mask in more details of the bird-I think you'll have a winner!!

Good idea, thanks for the tip! Heading off for a weekend in the mountains and can work on that while I'm up there. Won't be back until Sunday so hope I can get it posted before the cutoff. ;)

This is one of the best themes yet. Love it!

I very much like the rendering of the water and the shadow. Will wait to see the masked egret in next repost.

    Hi Kerry,
Glad you took my suggestion to play with this image in DAP. A little more tweaking and you'll have a great product! Thanks for sharing mate.

I love a good technical challenge. Figured out how to tether my Blackberry to my MBP and now have Internet in the boonies!

I reworked this quite a bit. Thanks Dave for the masking advice. I'm really new to this program and wasn't aware that you could save that way. You could also do it manually by just layering with the original, but I like that you can do it so easy in the program.

Hope I didn't go too far with the realism, but you can make out the egret much better now and also the reflection looks more like something coherent.

    Problem solved Cheryl, thanks!

beautifully done Kerry....DAP is a program that the more you use it the more
versatile it becomes. Getting wetter brushes, altering the color palettes etc

Did you have a good trip.....lots of pics?

Kerry, the repost is beautiful. Isn't technology wonderful?? Dave's information was helpful - I hadn't noticed the
save as PSD layer yet so it opens up more possibilities. I'll leave posting results until 4 since we had posted that
time earlier. Hope you got some good pictures in the mountains. I'm sure you did.:)

Ok OK, I give up! I've searched for DAP in just about every way possible and only come up with "Download Assistance Program" or "Direct Access Plan" and a bunch of other useless results.

May I have a link please?

Jim it is a program call DaPainter. Google that you should get it to come up for you. We are all so used to calling it DAP:)
