this is a Jean B.Camille inspired Rose Of Sharon.....wild hibiscus that grows
around lakes and rivers her in Louisiana, mostly in pink and white varieties.
Also, someone mentioned framing the other day....tried a subtle one
Dave, Great exposure on the original! I love the details and the placement in the frame, your dark BG really sets it off. I like the colors created by the different brush strokes and I like the frame you added it makes it look even more like a painting. Very nicely done!!
This one is a real beauty, Dave. I love hibiscus.... grown up seeing many different types. Excellent colors and perspective within the frame. Surely this can go on a canvas!
the dark bg with the hints of green set it off for sure. the frame makes it look like you took a picture of it hanging on your wall. i like the textures in the white. canvas shining through subtly is really nice.
Dave - this came out really nice and the frame really sets it off. We have swamp hibiscus in Florida that are
blooming now but they're bright red with yellow centers.
