    Default adding canvas revisited

I have an image with very little canvas on the right hand side and a lot on the left. Is it possible to copy and paste a part of the left hand side of the image onto the extra canvas i have created on the right hand side? If so can someone tell me how to do this?

i have tried to "move" the little bit of canvas on the right of the image by means of rectangle tool/free format but it looks streched!

Any advise highly appreciated, i dont particularly would like to use the clone tool etc

Rene, First add canvas then just make a selection w/ the rectangular marquee tool and hit control J -That will put it on a separate layer then use the move tool.
